Darius was born and raised in Newberry, SC. His passion was always art, baseball, and basketball but as he got older basketball became his main focus. Darius started taking steps to train for basketball at an early age; weight lifting, watching basketball videos and tips on YouTube, and requesting individual training with coaches. Some of Darius highlights are playing for Newberry Recreation Department up until age 11, making the basketball team at Newberry Middle School in the 7th grade, and becoming the starting point guard for Newberry High's varsity team as a freshman. Darius currently holds a 3.5 GPA along with playing for 2 AAU teams, leading the varsity team, training, and working a part time job. Darius' goal is to graduate high school and move on to play college basketball.
